Mary
Jo Kurtz
is a certified empowerment and wellness
coach, holistic health counselor, writer, and professional
speaker.
Mary Jo, a C.P.A and graduate of Villanova University, spent
a 15 year career in corporate financial services. However,
her life made a dramatic shift when she was unexpectedly
struck with a debilitating illness 14 years ago.
After years of self-healing and education Mary Jo began a new chapter in her life.
She became a certified empowerment coach and
a holistic health counselor through the Institute of Professional
Empowerment Coaching (iPEC),
the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University. She also founded Wellnecessity
and now provides personal
coaching and health counseling services to others who are
seeking better health, greater life balance, lifestyle and
behavioral changes and overall greater fulfillment in their
lives.
Mary Jo’s corporate roles within Human Resources and Finance coupled
with her personal experiences make her a perfect fit for
her corporate focus today. Mary Jo works with corporations
who are looking to be innovative leaders actively changing
the current healthcare crisis of America and
who wish to become Employers of Choice. Mary Jo provides
employee coaching, development and wellness programs.
She is a trained administrator
and coach of the Genos®
Emotional Intelligence (EI) Assessment. Mary Jo
speaks and writes on various topics and provides articles
and newsletters for publication as part of her corporate
wellness programs. Mary Jo's personal and
professional life experiences provide a realistic
background that makes all her work so successful.
Mary
Jo also has a dynamic personal side. She and her husband
Jeff have 4 children and are dedicated to supporting and
empowering children and young adults. Mary Jo is the creator
and facilitator of the award winning Girl’s University program designed for children to enhance self-esteem
through self-discovery and empowerment. She also works with
parents and children on improving their health and nutrition
for optimal performance in sports, the classroom and at home.
Mary
Jo is a member of several organizations, including the International Coach Federation, NJ Professional Coaches Association, National Association of Female Executives,
CoachVille,
and the Arts Council of Asbury Park.
